Terms of Use
- Krummo isn't live yet. Joining the waiting list is free and doesn't guarantee access.
- Only use your own email address, and don't abuse the site.
- Alpha software breaks. Don't rely on it for anything important.
- Nothing here limits the rights you have under the law, including consumer protection law.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms govern your use of the Krummo website and your participation in the pre-launch waiting list and, if you're invited, the Alpha test. They're an agreement between you and the operator of Krummo, [TO COMPLETE: full name and postal address] ("Krummo", "we", "us"). If you can't agree to them, please don't use the site or join the list.
When the Krummo app opens for accounts, you'll be shown separate terms to accept when you sign up. Those will cover the service itself.
You must be at least 16 years old to join the waiting list.
2. The waiting list
- Joining is free. You can leave at any time using the link in any email from us, or by writing to privacy@krummo.app.
- Joining doesn't guarantee an Alpha invitation, access to Krummo, or any particular launch date. We decide who is invited and when, and we may change or drop plans, features and timelines.
- Only submit your own email address, or one you're authorised to use. How we handle it is explained in our Privacy Policy.
3. The Alpha test
If we invite you to the Alpha:
- It's unfinished. The Alpha is provided "as is" for testing. Expect bugs, downtime, changes and removed features. Data created during the Alpha, including accounts and messages, may be reset or deleted. Don't use it for anything you can't afford to lose.
- It's invitation-based. Don't share invitations or access with others unless we say you can.
- Tell us what you find. If you send us feedback, ideas or bug reports, you give us permission to use them to improve Krummo, without payment or obligation to you. You keep ownership of your ideas, and we won't publicly credit or quote you without asking.
- Behave. The rules in section 4 apply, and the Alpha may have extra community rules that we'll share with you.
- We can end your Alpha access at any time, for example if you break these terms or to wrap up a test wave.
4. Using the site
You agree not to:
- submit an email address that isn't yours, or submit addresses in bulk or by automated means;
- attack, overload, probe or try to break the site or the signup service, or bypass its protections;
- scrape the site in a way that burdens it, or use it to harm others or break the law;
- pretend to be someone else, including us.
5. Intellectual property
The Krummo name, logo, mascot, design and the content of this site belong to us or our licensors. These terms don't give you any right to use them, other than viewing the site for its intended purpose. The Figtree typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (see the licence).
6. Warranties and liability
The website and the Alpha are provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows us to say so.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that can't be excluded or limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our fault, or any mandatory rights you have as a consumer. Beyond that, and to the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the free website or the Alpha.
7. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of [TO COMPLETE: country], without taking away the mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of the EU country where you live. If you're a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence as well as in [TO COMPLETE: court location]. If a dispute arises, please contact us first at privacy@krummo.app. Most issues can be sorted out quickly.
8. Changes and ending
We may update these terms, for example when the Alpha starts or the app launches. We'll change the date above, and if the change is significant we'll tell waiting list members by email. Continued use after a change means you accept it. You can stop using the site and leave the waiting list at any time. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
